The unique, tranquil setting offered by the site is unrivalled in the new homes market and offers the quintessential Blackrock environment with a modern edge for families, executives and downsizers.
The original Glensavage house, an 18th century manor house, was the home to the Misses Doris and Sheila Findlater from 1932 - 1968, of the celebrated family of wine and whiskey merchants, until the late 1960s. Doris was also an avid gardener, and became famous for hybridising her own nerines.
All Saint’s parish fete was held in the renowned gardens of Glensavage for 25 years during the occupancy of the Findlater sisters and it was there that Doris Findlater grew her price wining nerines. Doris’s passion for gardening developed and she created several new cultivars and in 1966 became Chairman of the Royal Horticultural Society of Ireland
